P3 Exhibitions, 35 Marylebone Road, Marylebone, NW1 5LS
After last year's triumphant arrival, the UK's only fair dedicated exclusively to kinetic art returns this February. Kinetica Art Fair features all manner of computerised, mechanical and robotic art contraptions, including a hologram family, drawing robots and, bizarrely, an orchestral milk float.
Kinetic art was pioneered by Marcel Duchamp in the 1910s and was all the rage in the '50s and '60s. Today though, with all the technology available to contemporary artists, it's arguably even more exciting than ever before. At Kinetica Art Fair you can expect to see weird and wonderful works by some of the world's leading kinetic artists, including Jean Tinguely, Liliane Lijn and Roger Vilder.
04-07.02.10.
