British Library, 96 Euston Road, Kings Cross, NW1 2DB
Did you know that the British Library's cartographic collections contain some four and a half million items? They certainly do. So, when they decide to put on an exhibition that selects only the most beautiful, rare and fascinating maps from those collections, the chances are that it's going to be pretty amazing.
And fortunately for us, 2010 sees just such an exhibition. With maps dating from 200AD to the present day, this is a fascinating insight into history, economics, politics, travel and the innate human need to know, categorise and appropriate.
Until 19.09.10.
