Sarah Kate Wilson curates a group show examining the materiality of paint and painting at Transition Gallery this summer.
Taking its name from the German for painting, and inspired by the writings of Michael Fried and Michel Foucault, the show examines the painting as object in itself. With work on show by a range of artists, including Phyllida Barlow and Wilson herself, this is yet another intriguing exhibition in a strong year so far for Transition.
