Rumour had it a while back that Hackney Empire was closing. Well, not anymore! Italian-born photographer Marco Sanges presents an exhibition of photography at the famous theatre this February and march.
Sanges' elaborately grand images are evocative of a sexualised and glamorous era, one which may or may not have ever really existed. Fantasy and grit blur delightfully.
