Poor Matilda has a bit of a rough deal, being ignored and neglected by her parents and suffering under the tyranny of a sadistic headteacher at school. But Matilda is no ordinary little girl, as everyone around her is about to find out ...

Roald Dahl's magical tale of a precociously talented and imaginative child is brought to dazzling musical life by the songs of comedian Tim Minchin in the Royal Shakespeare Company's new adaptation.

Heading to the Cambridge Theatre off the back of success and rave reviews in Stratford-upon-Avon, with most of the original adult cast returning, this charming new musical looks likely to be one of the family hits of the winter.
