Genres: Electro, Disco, House

According to the Wikipedia entry, a typical meat raffle takes place in a pub or bar, with approximately 25-30 tickets sold at $1 each. When a winning number is called, the winner can pick a cut of meat, often supplied by a local butcher, or in some cases opt for a gift certificate.

Well, in the scenario at hand, there's more like 200 tickets on sale, and you win sweet F.A. apart from the chance to see Horse Meat Disco's Jim Stanton and Nuke 'Em All's Fonteyn do their thing alongside the resident DJs. But if you can fend off the pork cravings long enough, it's not a bad deal.

You can get full details about real meat raffles (including the seafood equivalent) at Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meat_raffle. Apparently, it's popular in Australia, but if you win seafood you MUST leave the pub immediately in case it goes rancid. Don't stay around to drink. Can you imagine?
