Oberhofer began as a lo-fi basement project that was forced out into the big, wide world after the house above said basement set on fire. It seems that there is nothing like being homeless to give you the motivation to get off your ass and make a move.
Whilst it's easy to lump his music into the shit-gaze/indie pop category, and despite being really fun, his wide-eyed jams have a eerie cinematic quality that makes him sound like Wavves meeting Mercury Rev or something.
