Swanning around in the 1880s, Reginald Bunthorn can attract just about any girl he wants with his pretentious poetry and posturing. Apart from Patience, the girl he wants. In this satire, he tries to win her over just as the men spurned by his devotees try to win them back.

This is Gilbert & Sullivan's satirical (and musical!) take on the British aesthetic movement of the time. It's all shy lovers, machismo jousting one minute and poetry the next.
