A tragedy comedy about the taut relationship between a father and his son. As the younger prepares to shake up his stagnant life in '60 ireland and head to the promised land, America, he must make friends with his ghosts. 
The story follows Gar O'Donnell whose his public and personal selves become separate. There's the Gar that people talk about and the Gar that people talk to and the audience are the only people given full disclosure into Gar's promising dreams and his regretful choices.
