Daniel Pasteiner + James Ryan

Friday, 27 February 2009 - Saturday, 28 March 2009

Standpoint, 45 Coronet Street, Hoxton and Shoreditch, N1 6HD

Exhibitions: , Art, Sculpture, Painting, Gallery

How Much: Free!
Ooh, Planatacia x Abstractica. Are those real words, Standpoint? We think not. Nonetheless, making up words is an artist's (and indeed a gallery's) prerogative, so, hey, let 'em be.

This oddly entitled exhibition pits the works of two contemporary artists against each other and (in some ways) against the whole concept of modernism.

We're not sure whether we can be bothered with this kind of high-concept exhibition anymore - surely anybody likely to care about the 'hopes and pitfalls ...of the modernist project' is probably aware of them already anyway - but James Ryan and Daniel Pasteiner are both hot emerging artists, so this should be good.

Until 28.03.09.
