Primal Scream

Friday, 26 November 2010 - Saturday, 27 November 2010

Olympia Grand Hall, Hammersmith Road, Olympia, W14 8UX

Live Music: , Indie

How Much: Sold Out :(
It's not often that you can say a record is truly ground-breaking, but you can definitely say that with no hint of irony when you talk about Primal Scream's 'Screamadelica'.

Released in 1991, it was to European indie as Nirvana's 'Nevermind' was to alternative rock. With its mesh of '60s psychedelia, acid house, rave culture and baggy indie swagger, it picked up the fey British indie scene obsessing over broken hearts and miserable urban landscapes and plonked it straight into a field in Hampshire, gave it two pills, a couple of tabs of acid and told it get on with. Without this record it's pretty safe to say that dance music as we know it wouldn't exist.

Celebrating 20 years since it's release, Primal Scream take over the Olympia for two performances of this seminal record in it's entirety. All they're asking is that you get loaded and have a good time.
