A tale of two soul-mates who have divorced, married different partners and somehow ended up on honeymoon in the same hotel, Private Lives is as acerbically funny as anything Noel Coward wrote. This lavish revival stars genuine megastar Kim Cattrall (Samantha from Sex In The City) opposite homegrown Brit hunk Matthew Macfayden (Mr Darcy in Pride and Prejudice, Tom in Spooks).
Richard Eyre directs which means you can expect a faithful period rendition of this sharply observed tale of acrimony, hatred and desire. Private Lives is tremendously funny and moving, and this lustrous production is a spring highlight in the London season.
