Set in 1979, the play follows the story of Vinnie, a young man with complications in his life. His dad is dying, the girl he loves is dating his boss at the supermarket, and his band are always arguing. But when a chance comes up for Vinnie and his mates to get tickets to the sold out Ian Drury gig, he will do whatever he can to get the tickets.
With the Tories having just won the election, Reasons to be Cheerful is set against a backdrop of political change and promises to be an emotional coming-of-age tale.
