An international line up of singer songwriters gather at the Bethnal Green Working Men's to battle for the the highest accolade a troubadour can attain - to be the owner of the saddest song in the world.

Using just one song they will be trying to coax uncontrollable blubbing with tales of unrequited love, heartbreak, alcoholism and general misfortune.

Bring a box of Kleenex and watch the tears flow.
