S.C.U.M

Friday, 24 February

Bush Hall, 310 Uxbridge Road, Shepherds Bush, W12 7LJ

Live Music: , Electro, Punk

How Much: £10.60 (Advance Tickets)
Not a teenage metal band as the name might suggest, S.C.U.M. suddenly turned up in 2007 and very quickly became one of the most exciting industrial/no-wave acts around.

The band takes its name from the Society for Cutting Up Men Manifesto - a radical feminist tract written in 1968 by Valerie Solanas, the woman who eventually shot Andy Warhol. Their sound is a driving explosion of atmospheric noise with howling guitars and sombre vocals that drive home an incredible sense of presence and significance.
