DJ Krush's contribution to music can not be overstated.
He basically rewrote the rules with his turntablism by turning it into an artform. He famously eschewed the I-can-scratch-faster-than-you styles of his US counterparts, he rejected the notion that jazz cannot exist outisde of live instruments and applied a very Japanese sense of minimalism, balance and progression to his compositions.
Live he is in his element: dark, complex and downright genius.
He's been 20 years in the business and tonight will play a 3 hour set. Back of the net.
