On first listening you might be misled into bracketing Still Corners as London’s own equivalent to Beach House by way of Warpaint.

The super-soft female vocals are there, and there’s enough reverb to befuddle the navigation system of your average jumbo jet… but there’s more to these mysterious woodland fairies than that. Dreamy, obtuse and more than a little bit cinematic, this London based 4-piece sound like the Cocteau Twins being beamed in from 2000 light years away.
