At the time of writing, it's not clear who'll be performing or who is favourite to clean up in the various categories, but you can place strong money on Florence and the Machine and La Roux taking a few awards between them, as well as Ellie Goulding picking up the Critics' Choice Award. Compere for the evening will be chubby Northern observationalist Peter Kay. There'll also be a special award for best album and song of the last 30 years, as the Brits celebrates its 30th birthday.
