Alternative legend Arthur Smith hosts the 30th edition of the New Act of the Year Final 2012, a new comedy launch-pad that showcases the new wave of acts to look out for this year.
From over 150 acts that auditioned, there are 14 finalists that make up this year's competition, with an eclectic variety bill including stand-up, music, live art, cabaret and sketch comedy acts.
Previous winners and finalists include Russell Brand, Harry Hill, Simon Pegg, Tim Vine, Nina Conti, Andi Osho, Lee ‘Nelsy’ Nelson, Catherine Tate, Gina Yashere, Lee Mack, Liz Carr, Ronnie Ancona and Jack Whitehall.
