To celebrate the 200th anniversary of revolutionary Russian writer Nikolai Gogol the Lyric presents a new version of his classic anarchic adventure, The Overcoat, by Gecko theatre, the acclaimed company behind last year's The Arab and The Jew.

The piece plunges the audience into the imaginative world of a day dreaming hero as he plots to change the world and win the heart of his true love. Using cinematic effects and superb physical theatre, this production threatens to burst off the stage at any moment: high energy adventure from a surreal genius.
