This is the kind of thing the Royal Academy does best. An exhibition seeking to really get to the heart of one of the most consistently fascinating figures in the history of art - Vincent Van Gogh.
With around 65 paintings, 30 drawings and over 35 original letters written by the artist (mainly to his art-dealer brother Theo) this is as close as one could possibly get to the troubled genius.
Apparently this is the first major exhibition of Van Gogh's work for 40 years. Unbelievable. We suggest you check this out, or you might have to wait another 40 years.
