Getting your head around the politics of civil conflict is no easy feat.

The Turbin household reside in Kiev at the height of the Russian Civil War. They share their home with a ragtag crowd of close-knit folks, each with their own politics.

There's much chaos, vodka drinking, guitar playing probably bath sharing, there's also the new regime who are none too happy with The Turbin brothers and their preparations to join The White Guard.
