In September 2009, VINEspace reopened as the GOODEN Gallery. It still hosts regular exhibitions of contemporary (often conceptually articulate) works. As you'd expect from a Vyner Street stalwart, exhibitions vary from high-powered theorising to entertaining playfulness. Group shows - featuring a host of media from video and performance to painting and sculpture - often combine both extremes at once.

GOODEN Gallery also organise an offbeat parallel programme entitled 'A One Night Stand with...'. It's often held in an annexe to the main gallery, but has also taken place in the Victory Pub opposite. This unusual curatorial project began in early 2007 and often creates a buzz whenever it pops up.
