Museum 52 has a sister branch in the world's second city of art, New York. This fact immediately elevates London's venue above your run-of-the-mill Hoxditch gallery, and also speaks volumes about the commercial nature of the place. In other words, the represented artists are established on the scene and sell well.
Stylistically the works range dramatically, racing from realist photography to giant faeces-esque sculptures. If it keeps up the good work we could see Paris and Tokyo following the Big Apple and opening their own Museum 52s.
