As part of UCL on Gower Street, the quite small Egyptology museum houses a huge collection of archaeological discoveries from digs.
Through the bequest of the writer and explorer Amelia Edwards in 1892, the museum was started as a collection of artefacts found on the scientific explorations she ran.
A new museum has been put on the books for the end of this year allowing students and visitors the chance to see all of the museum's collection.
