A drink in the Canterbury Arms is definitely something of an experience. Merely round the corner from the Brixton academy, this wood decked traditional boozer harks back to the (some would say) happier times of the 1970s.

The pub has all the things a pub should have, including a pool table, gamblers, and an open terrace out front. There is even something of an auditorium out back for gigs and club nights.

A police station 20 yards away ensures there isn't any trouble, and as long as you're a law abiding citizen the Canterbury is a fairly inoffensive place to meet up before heading off to catch a gig.
