A Brixton institution, the Prince Albert has resisted all attempts at gentrification and remains a scuzzy, cheapo pub despite rising prices all around.
Even a bright orange paint job and revamp in 2002 soon faded and the place remained irresistibly scruffy. You can’t get better for a cheap pre-club drink.
Friendly staff and an eclectic tune selection complete the satisfying experience that is a pint in the Albert. That, and the fact that you will always get a seat. Recommended.
