Unkillable Camden Town club that sprinkles big name appearances (recently Richard Ashcroft and the Killers) into a schedule of regular club nights. Shake is for groping; Sin City is for cage dancers and alt tunes; Inferno is for extreme clubbers, and is so extreme that it can only be held once a month, its DJs living in decompression chambers in the downtime.
Ballroom entry and bar prices are quite steep and those in the know tend to rock up drunk. Atmosphere is, like Camden, friendly enough. When the right tune drops or a big band takes the stage you can feel the magic of a thousand brilliant nights at this cult favourite.
Atmospheric, shabby but beautiful, this is a classic Camden venue.
