The name Father Ted's conjures up allusions of strange catholic priests getting hammered til the early hours shouting 'drink, fek, girls' but what's in a name? Father Ted's tenuous Irish themed decor, good Guinness and giant plasma screens tell the tale of a pub walking the line between Irish and Sport genres, and falling into the middle ground.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. In fact the colourful blend of local old timers and sports fanatics keeps the banter flying and provides a few laughs every night. The place really picks up at weekends as the drab decor disappears behind banners, a stage for live music and DJs, and crowds of happily bleary Camdenites.
