Jazz Café
The Jazz Café is a long-time favourite venue for intimate gigs from a body of musicians which is varied but adheres to a general rule of soulful musicality and an organic, jazz club outlook.
There is always an impressive array of artists and looking down their monthly listings can be like a trip through the CD collection of your trendiest friend. The club is popular so it's always best to book and to arrive early, possibly for a bit of pre-gig dinner at the restaurant.
Pints are reasonably priced, which makes up for the big door charge. To be honest though, value for money isn't really the issue. Whether you're here to see one of your favourite old timers like Horace Andy, The Skatalites and Lee Perry or some fresh urban grooves, like Killa Kela and De La Soul you are guaranteed great music every time.
The Jazz Café is one of Spoonfed's Best Jazz Clubs in London.
