As with most pubs in London's more affluent areas, this place has got itself a gastro menu, but thankfully the prices haven't shot up too much. Great for a summer's pint, the front opens up onto the street, and there's a terrace out back for the more private romance.

There is no piped music and the silence is golden; it's surprisingly refreshing to hear only the gentle hubbub of idle chatter. A well managed and set out place that benefits from a touch of character.
