There was a time when a night out gigging in northern Camden wasn't complete without a trip to The Misty Moon, a dimly-lit den of cheap burgers and cheaper lager, complete with a reassuringly menacing atmosphere.
Alas, those days are no more, and 40 Chalk Farm Road has been transformed into exactly what the area needs more of; a pub boasting a small stage graced with live bands and DJs, and all complete with a refurb and name change to The Monarch.
That's also the former name of the Barfly up the road...confused? Us too, but as we're more likely to catch a fledgling rock band than salmonella or a smack in the gob here now, we'll embrace the change.
