Beginning as a small store up in archway, Pure Groove Records began in 1989 as a place where you could pick up imported dance records. The problems came when they started putting on in stores; more than 50 people and the poor guys came close to really freaking out. Something had to be done.

Their new home by Smithfield's is much more than you're mere record store. Yeah, you can pick up a copy of Grauzone's 'Eisbaer', but you can also watch a set from My Bloody Valentine and check out weird art exhibitions. Nice one guys.
