Situated in that lovely area just south of Cheapside, Ye Olde Watling is a splendid and traditional pub - something of a dying breed in London, unfortunately.
Ye Olde Watling has existed in one form or another on this very site since 1668 (when, rumour has it, it was built by Sir Chirstopher Wren) and today it is a friendly place serving well-kept real ales.
There's also a lounge at the rear of the pub and an upstairs restaurant that serves good pub food - it also provides great views of St Paul's Cathedral, particularly at sunset.
