Fabric

67-77A Charterhouse Street, Clerkenwell, EC1M 6HJ
Tel: 020 7336 8898

Gigantic Victorian Meat Cellar in the heart of Farringdon which is renowned worldwide as the most reliably brilliant club in the UK. Expect massive, international crowds each weekend and superstar DJs in every room. You may occasionally feel like cattle as you are herded between dance floors but don't worry - it's just flashbacks caused by the ghosts of the old abattoir.

Fabric has three unbelievable sound systems and they book only the very best DJs in the world. Saturday night is house, techno and electro night with everybody who is anybody from Ibiza to Tokyo popping by to thrill the capacity crowds alongside residents Terry Francis, Craig Richards and Ivan Smagghe. Any one of those three residents would justify a £15 ticket at another rave and they share bills at fabric with the likes of Claude VonStroke, Tiefschwarz and Ricardo Villalobos

Friday nights host Fabriclive with the best in urban flavours, breaks, bass and hip hop offset with underground dance music in the other rooms. Fabriclive nights offer a much greater variety of brand new music and the associated compilation albums are platinum smashes. Residents include Tayo, Andy C and Hype and the club will regularly host Goldie, Fabio, Grooverider, Skream, Benga and other stars all on one bill.

An excellent club with massive crisp sounds and a friendly if anonymous crowd - you can't beat it.

Went here recently to Kill Em All, really impressed. But Matinee is still the best night IMO!

Dare I slag off Fabric? Probably not. It is rather awesome but there's just something so annoying about having to choose between buying a queue-jump ticket but having to get in before half eleven, or arriving at a civilised (or uncivilised if you will) time and having to queue around the block. Once in however, it's quite clear why this is the best club in London.

Still my favourite venue, there is no place like Fabric. Although the majority of times i've been, i've also ended up queuing for 3 hours. But the doubt (set in by the cold outside!) is always lifted when you get in. It's not every day you find a club where you feel like you could slip back into the brickwork and never want to leave. Could Kill em All be the next sensation for Fabriclive? The weekly emails from Jac the Disco are promising. Very excited for this night.

What's so great about Fabric is its' versatility as a venue. With 3 different rooms to choose from, it's almost impossible to get bored there. The amount of new and exciting artists I've discovered, simply as a result of drifting from one room to the next, are countless. With each room being a different lay-out, Fabric is well equipped to play host to DJs and live acts alike and it takes full advantage of this fact. The world famous sound system of Room One is still unrivaled by any other London club in my opinion.

If you pick the right night, Fabric is the single most reliable assurance of a good night out. The crowd is always casual but energetic and the atmosphere's solid from the intimidating space of Room One to chilling out in the Smoking Area. The variety and quality of rooms mean that if you don't fancy the heaving crowds of the main room you can always retreat to Room Two or Three without feeling like you're missing out. The only downside is the inevitable massive door queue but just buy an advance ticket and skip all that stress.

The infamous fabric should feature in London's tourist attraction's top ten. The crowd is an ecletic mix of first time ravers, devout bass heads and the odd estranged weirdo. Famous for Dnb, Techno n '3 for a tenners', it's an experience you can't miss. With 3 rooms to choose from you'll be entertained for hours. Maze your way out as late as 6am, ears ringing, greeted by Farringdon's fine florescent reality. Watch out for the monstrous bouncers who will happily see you battered should you put a high-top out of line.

Fabric is one of those places that you have to go to a few times, as on the first couple of occasions it may appear overwhelming to the untrained raver. Once you know the layout, and where the always entertaining smoking area is, you will be able to enjoy Fabric for all it has to offer. With 3 rooms to choose from, each boasting a diverse range of music, its unlikely you'll be exiting the premises before the end of the night, which is often as late as 6am.

A huge venue, enormous capacity and all the ingredients for a dirty night out. If you're into your drum and bass, dubstep etc. then this is the place to be. The best DJs and performers all live and all at once, it's sure to be a great night.
