Fluid Bar fits Farringdon like a cashmere glove; it's one of the original dj/bar/restaurant hybrids and is still among the best around. From the eye-catching DJ booth and dancefloor, lit up better than Shibuya crossing in Tokyo, to the well-crafted cocktail menu, they have worked out every detail with real attention and style.

Fresh hand made sushi and retro computer games add to the minimal chic of Fluid; the kitsch design shares more with manga softcore than Memoirs of a Geisha. Guests are kept feeling frisky as they recline under sexy low lighting on the squishy leather sofas, which can be booked in advance if necessary. The short sushi menu is expensive and delicious, but non diners are very much the norm.

Expect a relaxed atmosphere during the week with funk, electronica and all that groovy stuff. At weekends the bar shifts up a gear and the music becomes centre stage with pumping electro house, techno and breaks.
