Medium sized, modernist theatre built in the 1970s, which once held the record for the longest running show with Cats. The New London is a comparatively modern building for the West End (completed in 1911) but it occupies a spot where taverns and playhouses have done a busy trade since Elizabethan times.
Each seat is big and comfortable and the lighting, acoustics and stage are all brilliantly equipped for a transformative theatre experience. Recently the theatre hosted a long run by surreal performance artists Blue Man Group, but has now returned to more traditional, seated theatre and musicals.
