Completed in 1916, this theatre had a varied programme up until the 1970s, playing host to a galaxy of stars from the generation of John Gielgud and Noel Coward.
Since 1974, Saint Martins has put on the same show each and every night: Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap.
The ornately decorated theatre, with plush red seats and generous chandeliers, is well suited to this suspenseful but old fashioned country house thriller. Who knows how many more years the record breaking show can run?
