Pre and post theatre venue The Shaftesbury is known to locals as Cat Steven's old gaff - he grew up in a flat above the restaurant, formerly his family's shop.  Denizens of the West End find culinary comfort here, as the kitchen serves up traditional British fare amid cosy surroundings.

At £13.95 for two courses, the pre-theatre menu here is a rather good deal.
