A fringe theatre in the heart of the West End, the Tristan Bates is deliberately daring and experimental. Despite being a few seconds from Covent Garden this is an affordable space and they have a longstanding reputation for showing new work.

Results may very. from visceral, brilliant shows like Whitebox's Angel Filth (pictured) to experimental genius courtesy of The Factory, there is a lot of great stuff worked up in here. However you might see something that's not quite ready, or a show that will never, ever be any good.
