London's only Lighthouse (although it doesn't work any more), Trinity Bouy Wharf has to be one of the most unusual places to catch a show in London.
Situated almost directly across the river from the O2 Arena, the space has a colourful history, beginning life as as a maintenance depot for the docks, and going on to host experiments by Michael Faraday and become an important training facility for prospective lighthouse keepers.
Now-a-days the Lighthouse is the jewel in the crown of 'Container City', a state of the art exhibition and studio space established in 2001, and has been home to several cutting edge art installations including Jem Finer's 1000 year musical project Longplayer.
