A brand new mid-sized venue in central London, 229 has a capacity of nearly 800 across two rooms and a crystal clear PA and lighting system, making a gig here a treat for bands and fans alike.

Hardly surprising when you discover that this place was developed by a team working with labels, artists, managers and promoters, and they’ve already attracted the Buzzcocks and Vincent Vincent and the Villains to its stage.

While venues across the city close at an alarming rate to make way for offices and flats (who needs culture eh?) it is refreshing to see a new kid on the live music block.
