Chinawhite is still one of the first names in luxurious and exclusive clubbing but these days combines its heritage with a more modern take on things (for example, you no longer need to be a £700-a-year member just to get in the door)

The venue - which was a Soho staple - has relocated and now nestles atop the grave of former Wax Bar. Walking through, it feels like a whistlestop tour of a very opulent Asia (design inspiration coming from China, Bali and Indonesia) with this continuing onto the menu of the 50 seater bar and restaurant.

It manages to combine comfort, glamour and plenty of dancefloor action. The formula works – they have successfully exported to Ibiza. Louis Vuitton-style handbag house is the order of the day, and frankly, it suits the sexy, moneyed crowd to a tee.
