The Rebecca Hossack Gallery in the Goodge Street area can justifiably lay claim to being the one of the best galleries specifically dedicated to the showcasing of Non-Western works.

Exhibitions here have included, among others, artists' productions from the Kalahari, Papua New Guinea and Torres Strait Islands. It logically follows that conventional (Western) concepts cannot be applied as the culture and traditions of these native tribes are infused into their works. Indeed the exhibitions are likely to frustrate anyone with lingering conservative opinions on how art ‘should be’.

As a proponent of the contemporary Aboriginal Art movement, the Rebecca Hossack Gallery is a must visit.
