Previously called St Germans, the (renamed) Honor Oak had a huge refurb in 2007 and is now a far cry from its 'old man boozer' days of yore.
It is now child-friendly, resulting in a higher volume of female patrons and has an excellent menu, specialising in comfort food like venison pie, burgers, cheesy chips and sticky toffee pudding, not to mention a Sunday roast which staff advise booking the day before due to its popularity. The drinks menu is just as impressive with real ale and cocktails all at very reasonable prices. A great addition to the Forest Hill area where good pubs are hard to come by.
