One for the 'Shoreditch scenesters' now dangerously spilling into Hackney, The Cat and Mutton, based in Broadway Market may get a busy thoroughfare but it doesn't always deliver on service or value for money.

The menu is impressive; think 'roast pork belly', 'seared tuna loin' and the like, but prices are high and waitresses can be slow and disinterested. Not a place for a pint and a game of darts but if you tend to wear shutter shades and purple skinny jeans when you go out you will probably love this venue.

'Comedy At The Cat' now takes place there every other Thursday, hosted by Tom Webb and Vikki Stone, and includes games, stand-up and sketch comedy.
