Founded in 1998 as an artist-run collaborative project, Five Years has now been in existence well in excess of its eponymous time period.

In 2007, the group expanded to form a kind of loosely-knit art collective that includes Jo Addison, Rochelle Fry, Marc Hulson and Alice Walton.
