Shacklewell Arms

Shacklewell Lane, Hackney, E8 2EB

Once a fairly shabby pub which had a club behind it called BG's Nite Club for late night frolicking, the Shacklewell was taken over by the Lock Tavern guys recently, and has emerged as Dalston's coolest new hang out.

Boasting one of the larger live rooms in the Kingsland Road area, it has taken over the niche left by the demise of Bardens Boudoir. Becoming a home from home for promoters like Sexbeat and EYOE, this is the sort of place that has a cool indie night one second, and a Horror's afterparty the next.

Always completely rammed, there's a nice terrace of sorts out the back, that has a TV in it for some reason.
