Once called The Alex, The Lauriston is a bit of weird one really. Located right in the centre of Hackney Village (which is the nice bit right before the North gate of Victoria Park, if you're wondering), this place markets itself as one of those quiet read-the-paper, lazy Sunday type of places, but has blasted us with dance music every time we've been there.

Still, the pizza only costs a fiver, so it can't be all that bad.
