Founded in 2002, former gallery-in-a-garage Transition has lived up to its name (in one respect anyway) and shifted into a permanent space. Run by the Cathy Lomax and Alex Michon, the shows come thick and fast, and although varied in terms of content, the curators have a eye for quality - exhibitions are almost always exciting, and occasionally brilliant.
Transition made its name when Charles Saatchi discovered Stella Vine at the gallery and it continues to champion the works of emerging contemporary artists.
